PLC Part 1
This week the staff continues their journey towards building high performing collaborative teams. All staff are members of one-two PLCs (Professional Learning Communities). As a team member, each person uses his/her unique talents and efforts to help all students learn at high levels. Teammates work interdependently to achieve a common goal for which each team member is mutually accountable. Teams recognize the value in collective wisdom when answering four questions about their students:1. What is it we want our students to learn and be able to do?2. How will we know when they have learned it?3. How will we respond when they do not learn?4. How will we respond when they already know it?These four questions are the guideposts for the Emerson staff and PLCs. Throughout the year, I will continue to update the community on our progress towards increasing student learning through our collaborative efforts.
