Wheaton Warrenville Special Needs PTA (WW-SNPTA)
Alt Text:2021-2022 Welcome LettterWW-SNPTA, is a complement with your school pta. We are currently one of about ten special needs PTAs in the United States.
What is a special needs PTA?
Families with children who have special needs often seek out opportunities to meet other parents in similar circumstances. Special Education PTAs (SEPTAs) provide this opportunity and often bring together families of students who attend different schools in a district under one PTA umbrella. Becoming a SEPTA provides families with an organizational structure, resources and the opportunity to be a collective voice for their child and for all children.
WW-SNPTA complements your school pta by working in collaboration and partnership with District200 to support families with special needs. We help in providing needed resources, a collective voice as well as help advocate for children and families with special needs.
Our Wheaton Warrenville Special Needs PTA umbrella supports the entire District 200 school district and primarily serves the communities of Wheaton and Warrenville, as well as portions of Carol Stream, Winfield, West Chicago, and adjacent unincorporated areas.
District200 is comprised of 23 Facilities:
1 Early Childhood Center
13 Elementary Schools
4 Middle Schools
2 High Schools
1 Transition Program
2 Operational Centers - School Service Center and Woodland
Based on 2019-2020 Total Enrollment - 12,283, 15% with disabilities
Our Wheaton Warrenville Special Needs PTA Mission Statement:
