Reflections
REFLECTIONS is a nationwide PTA arts contest.
Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-submitted theme. This 50+ year-old national program helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.
Students submit their entries for judging in one or more of the arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, and Visual Arts. Entries have the opportunity to advance to district, regional, state, and national levels of judging. All participating Edison students receive awards and their artwork is displayed in school.
This year's theme is
"Accepting Imperfection"
Students may submit more than one entry, either within the same category or multiple categories. Each entry must include an artist statement on the entry form communicating what inspired the work, how it relates to the theme, and the content of the work. All entries must follow submission rules and guidelines for judging to avoid disqualification.
