A Message From Superintendent Dr. Jeff Schuler:
Last night, voters in our community approved a $151.5 million bond referendum that will allow us to improve safety and security in our middle schools, ensure healthy and accessible buildings for all students, and provide our middle schoolers with 21st century learning environments.
According to preliminary results, voters approved the referendum by a 67.9% to 32.1% margin. We are still waiting for some provisional and mail-in ballots to be counted, but we don’t expect the outcome of the referendum to change. Your support is a testament to the values we share as a community that is invested in the future of our students.
This journey began in 2013 with conversations about the long-term needs of our schools. Together, we have shaped a plan to address those needs thoughtfully, responsibly, and sustainably. We deeply appreciate the time, input, and trust you've extended to us along the way. Thank you for coming together as a community to prioritize the learning, safety, and well-being of our students and teachers.

Don't forget to vote today on CUSD 200's referendum!
This community-driven plan to modernize our middle schools would provide safer and more secure buildings with learning spaces that support the rigorous curriculum our community expects and deserves. If passed, it would build pride and bring parity to our four middle school buildings, giving all students the same quality learning opportunities. It could also provide welcoming spaces for the community.
All this can be accomplished with a reduction in our Bond and Interest Fund tax rate, for the third time in five years. Please remember to vote today! Polls close at 7 p.m.

One week left to vote! Have you cast your vote on the CUSD 200 $151.5M referendum to modernize three of our four middle schools? With all existing debt being paid off in levy year 2024, our community has the opportunity to reinvest in our schools while still seeing a decrease in the Bond and Interest Fund of our taxes—even if the referendum is approved.
This community-driven plan will:
✅ Create safer, more secure middle schools
✅ Modernize learning spaces to support our rigorous curriculum
✅ Bring parity across all four middle schools
✅ Build pride and provide welcoming spaces for our community
And all this can be done without a tax increase! Get the full details by visiting https://bit.ly/4dKR3F3. #YourCommunitySchools
