Welcome to the 2024-25 school year. I am truly excited to begin my sixth year at Lowell Elementary School. I would like to take some time to tell you something about myself. I have been in education for 24 years, 11 years as a teacher and 13 years as an administrator. I taught in various grades ranging from 1st-7th grade and was also a bilingual lead teacher coordinator. I am currently a Nationally Board Certified Teacher. I obtained my B.A. from Northeastern University and my M.Ed. in Educational Administration. I also obtained my second M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis. I completed my doctoral studies at the University of St. Francis in Educational Leadership.
On a personal note, I was born and raised in Chicago and I live in Bolingbrook with my husband, daughter, and our very hyper-happy two dogs, Maltese and Pekingese. I have two children my daughter who is 27 and my son who is 25. I have a beautiful granddaughter who makes me smile everyday. I am fluent in Spanish. My hobbies include scrapbooking, traveling, reading a good book, and cooking.
This will be a "Star" kind of year. As we begin this school year, our focus remains on academics, the success of our students, and their overall well-being. We are committed to creating an environment where every student can thrive, feel supported, and be challenged to reach their fullest potential. Alongside our dedication to academic excellence, we will also prioritize the social-emotional growth of our students, recognizing that their well-being is key to their success in and out of the classroom. I am deeply grateful to be part of a community that values education and the personal growth of our students, and that works together to support their academic and emotional development. Your involvement and support are crucial, and together, we can ensure that each student at Lowell has the opportunity to excel both academically and emotionally.
This year, we will continue to build on the strong foundation we have established, always striving to provide the best possible education and support for our students. We are eager to work with you, to inspire and challenge our students, and to celebrate their successes throughout the year.
Thank you for your continued partnership. I look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and success for all. We look forward to a successful school year 2024-25 with you and prepare our students for a bright and amazing future.
