Reading Support

Our program is designed to assist children with becoming successful independent readers. Our instruction may focus on one or several reading components like comprehension, vocabulary, phonemic awareness, phonics, or fluency.

About Mrs. Klopfenstein

Mrs. Klopfenstein has been teaching in District 200 since she graduated from Wheaton College in 1989. She has taught 3rd grade, 5th grade and PACE Reading and Math at Hawthorne and Emerson. She currently serves as a Reading Specialist at Pleasant Hill.

Mrs. Klopfenstein lives in Wheaton with her husband and three teenage daughters.
