Art Smart

Art Smart is Whittier’s Art Appreciation program. Volunteers present information on an artist, show an example of the artist’s work, and involve the students in a brief creative project. Background information on each artist and suggestions for a "project" (something simple) is available in folders at Whittier for your use. Detailed instructions are provided for guidance. Presentations take approximately 15-30 minutes of class time, and can be done at your convenience: You and your child’s teacher coordinate the date and time. If interested, you can choose to do one presentation, or more. It’s up to you!

NO ART EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY! The goal is to have one ART SMART presentation in each classroom during the months of November and January through May.
