Welcome to the Communications & Community Engagement Department. Our Board of Education is committed to continuously engaging our community to determine its priorities, foster partnerships, and promote learning. This department is responsible for providing the community a lens into our schools and classrooms. Below are the various ways you can stay up to date with what's happening in #YourCommunitySchools! Please click on the links to be re-directed to the various sections.

Come inside of YOUR community schools!

District 200 schools are the community's schools. We welcome your engagement and participation in school events. We are developing the 2024-2024 Performing Arts Calendar, a year-long collection of events at our two high schools.  This calendar will be posted soon.

Attending one of our events, especially if you don't have children in our schools, is a perfect way for you to get an inside look at our schools and what today's students are all about.

If you would like to arrange a group meeting at one of our events, contact communications@cusd200.org or 630-682-2469, and we will assist you.

Social Media Guidelines
Please do not post unauthorized commercial solicitations (such as spam), bully, intimidate or harass any user, post content that is hateful, threatening, pornographic, or that contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence, or do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory on District 200 social media accounts. In other words, please abide by the following guidelines when posting comments on our social media pages:

  • Be respectful. Personal attacks or derogatory comments aimed at specific individuals, employees or students are not permitted.

  • Be polite. Avoid language that is abusive or inappropriate, including remarks that are racist, sexist, sexually explicit or obscene.

  • Be relevant. Do not post comments that advertise or promote a product, service or political candidate. Spam, commercial advertisements or content unrelated to the school district may be removed.

  • Be factual. Blatantly inaccurate, libelous or false information will be removed. Postings must comply with applicable copyright rules and laws.

PLEASE NOTE: All comment postings are at the discretion of the page administrator and may be removed if any of the above guidelines are disrespected. Privacy settings for the District 200 Facebook page do not allow for original posts; only posts in response to previous posts by the school district will be viewable to other readers.

Please do not use social media in place of standard communication practices, such as contacting a school educator to share personal issues and concerns.
