Congratulations to Betty Basista Ronaldson, Foreign Language Teacher, from Wheaton North High School on your retirement! Thank you for 23 years of dedicated service!
Betty has loved teaching AP Spanish Language and Culture for over 20 years. She has enjoyed taking students to Chicago on the Spanish and Mexican cultural field
trips and teaching students Zumba Latin Dance steps at in-school, cultural events! Her accomplishments during her career include being selected the Distinguished High
School Teacher recipient in 2014; serving on the Illinois State Board of Education Teacher Preparation and Licensure Board in Springfield; speaking at State and District-level Professional Development Conferences about Adverse Childhood Experiences; and developing a successful Advanced Placement Spanish Language and Culture curriculum with colleagues and mentoring several student teachers. In her retirement, Betty plans to travel and spend time with family and friends. She wants to thank the respectful and hard-working students, helpful and friendly staff, and supportive administration.
