Seahawks Defeat Patriots in Super Bowl LX

SANTA CLARA, California - On February 8th, the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots faced off for the title of 2026 Super Bowl Champion. Seattle came away victorious with a final score of 29-13.
The quarterback for New England, Drake Maye, threw for 295 yards, along with two touchdown passes as well as two interceptions in the loss. Sam Darnold for the Seahawks did some damage, passing for one touchdown himself. He threw 202 passing yards, 0 interceptions, and logged 5 rushing yards. Kicker Jason Myers scored 17 points in total for Seattle, the most by a kicker in Super Bowl history. Myers also broke the record for most field goals. The game was defensive heavy with Seattle’s defense dominating. Seattle’s nose tackle, Byron Murphy II, had a total of 2 sacks and a fumble recovery in the team’s victory.
After the game, Super Bowl LX MVP winner, Kenneth Walker III said, "We went through a lot of adversity throughout the season. To be able to make it this far is a blessing... we ignore [the outside noise]. We stuck together throughout the season and we won a Super Bowl for that," (MetroNews).
The Super Bowl will end both team’s seasons on a strong note. The Seahawks’ overall record was 17-3, and the Patriots’ record was 17-4. Both teams performed well above expectations. Mike Macdonald (Seattle) and Mike Vrabel (New England) will now start looking towards getting their teams ready for next season with the NFL draft happening in just 38 days.
