Seahawks Win Super Bowl LX

By Nathan Ayala and Vasilis Vlagos

Levi Stadium - Santa Clara, California - The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots in a defensive heavy game to win Super Bowl 60. Sam Darnold, Seahawks quarterback, was victorious over Drake Maye, Patriots quarterback, and carried his team to their second Super Bowl championship.  It was a defensive heavy game with Seattle dominating throughout.

The Seahawks’ defense took center stage and were locked down on the Patriots the entire night. The Seahawks had two interceptions in the game, both coming in the fourth quarter. Julian Love intercepted Drake Maye, followed by Unchenna Nwosu, who returned the interception for a 45-yard pick-six. The defense also recorded 6 sacks which is tied for a Super Bowl record, including a strip-sack by Derick Hall, which was recovered by Byron Murphy II.

The Super Bowl MVP winner, Kenneth Walker III, had a great game as the running back for the Seahawks. Kenneth was the first running back to win Super Bowl MVP since Terrell Davis for the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII. Walker finished with 27 carries, 135 rushing yards, 26 receiving yards, and averaged 5 yards per carry.

Both kickers carried the offense in this game. Jason Myers recorded 5 field goals which is a Super Bowl record. He also delivered a total of 17 points, including extra points, another Super Bowl record. Jason Myers expressed his feelings after the game. "It was a great day," Myers said. "It was a great team win -- that's what we've been doing all year -- so, nothing better than doing that in the Super Bowl. Yeah, amazing feeling," (American Football International).

In conclusion, it was a great game played by both teams. Let's see what both teams will do in the offseason to train for the next year.
