District 200 Community, Due to the predicted weather conditions throughout the day and into the evening tomorrow night, all District 200 schools will engage in an e-learning day tomorrow, January 12. Students in grades 1-12 will follow the e-learning schedule that can be found by visiting https://bit.ly/41SdVwF. All students should login to Google Classroom by 9 a.m. to receive assignments and Google Meets links. Kindergarten students should follow the plan that has been communicated by their teacher. All activities will be canceled for January 12 as well. Information about the status of activities scheduled for Saturday will be communicated from the high schools tomorrow. We understand the inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as the safety of our students, staff and community is always our top priority. Please know this decision was made in consultation and coordination with a number of our district partners. Barring any additional travel challenges or inclement weather, school will be back in session on Tuesday, January 16. With that said, we encourage you to continue monitoring e-mail, social media and the district’s family of websites for updates about the weather and its impact on our operations. Please reach out to your child’s teacher(s) with any questions. Sincerely, Dr. Jeff Schuler Superintendent of Schools Community Unit School District 200

The Holiday Drive at Edison Middle School returned this year! During the month of December, staff members donated a variety of items for students to choose from before heading off to winter break. #YourCommunitySchools

Looks like it was a sweet day for ALL 8th graders Friday (those who weren’t on the band, orchestra and choir field trip, that is 😊). Mrs. McInerney’s 8th grade science classes had a blast building candy wave machines and using them to demonstrate wave movement.

8th Grade Science was a sweet treat on Friday! Students used Oreos to model the amazing process of mitosis and cell division. #ShineOn #YourCommunitySchools

Thank you to Edison parent Mrs. Julie Ippolito, from Woodridge Interventions, for visiting 8th grade health classes today and sharing your vast knowledge about teen addiction.

Congratulations to the orchestras on an excellent concert! It was the perfect thing to get us in the holiday spirit! 🎄👏

Thank you, Officer Tanzillo, for visiting 8th grade Health classes today to share with our Panthers the dangers of drug use!
