7th graders enjoyed a popcorn and music lunch today thanks for Oliver! Oliver donated money for Ronald McDonald House at the Hubble Havok talent show and was selected as a winner of the prize. Thank you Oliver and all those who donated and participated in Hubble Havok this year! Hubble was able to raise over $1000 at the event to support families and children in our area.

The track season will begin after spring break! We welcome all 7th and 8th graders to participate in this no cut sport! The first practice for the boys will be Monday April 1st. The first practice for the girls will be Tuesday April 2nd. We will alternate boys and girls for the first few practices so that we can teach everyone about the many different events in smaller groups.

Some of our 8th grade students have partnered with a kindergarten class at Johnson Elementary School to work together as reading buddies. Students visit Johnson once each quarter to read, work on vocabulary, and bond with our kindergarten friends. This past December we visited to share stories of the Gingerbread Man and then made cookies together. This quarter we will do an egg hunt with sight words to help our kindergarten buddies learn to read.
