And the fall play is....Transyl-Mania Cue the lightning! Cue the thunder! This spooky comedy contains the next generation of traditional Halloween monsters, as well as several humans who have wandered into their school, and mania ensues. With plenty of fun acting parts to go around, and extensive designs for the set, costumes, hair, and makeup this is a great opportunity for Hubble students to show off their talents! There are vampires, mummies, werewolves, zombies, witches, Frankenstein’s daughter, the Invisible Man’s son, and even the Phantom of the Opera’s kid, all of them struggling to live up to their parents’ legendary examples. Far more silly than spooky, this comedy delivers both loads of laughs and a gentle message about befriending those who are different from us. Transyl-Mania was written by Flip Kobler and Cindy Marcus.

As the summer begins to draw to a close, we want to remind you that current medical physicals are required for participation in interscholastic athletics at Hubble Middle School. For cut sports, a physical is required to participate in the tryout. For non-cut sports, the physical is required for participation in the first practice. Physicals are routine check ups from a medical provider that ensure athletes are safe to compete in athletic practices and competition. They are good for 13 months from the date of examination. Paper copies of the physical can be brought to the health office or athletic director. Electronic copies can be sent to the health office (hubblehealthoffice@cusd200.org) or athletic director (mark.hiben@cusd200.org) as well. Physicals can be completed by physicians in a medical group or pharmacy providers like CVS. If you have any questions regarding physicals for athletics, please reach out to Mark Hiben, our athletic director (mark.hiben@cusd200.org).
