As the summer begins to draw to a close, we want to remind you that current medical physicals are required for participation in interscholastic athletics at Hubble Middle School. For cut sports, a physical is required to participate in the tryout. For non-cut sports, the physical is required for participation in the first practice.
Physicals are routine check ups from a medical provider that ensure athletes are safe to compete in athletic practices and competition. They are good for 13 months from the date of examination. Paper copies of the physical can be brought to the health office or athletic director. Electronic copies can be sent to the health office (hubblehealthoffice@cusd200.org) or athletic director (mark.hiben@cusd200.org) as well.
Physicals can be completed by physicians in a medical group or pharmacy providers like CVS.
If you have any questions regarding physicals for athletics, please reach out to Mark Hiben, our athletic director (mark.hiben@cusd200.org).

Each year, the Hubble Middle School athletic department has the honor of giving athlete of the year awards to honor accomplishments and excellence across our various athletic programs. This award recognizes individuals who represented Hubble Athletics well across the whole school year and who made significant contributions to their teams’ success.
Congratulations to Clara, McKaileigh, and Liam for receiveing the award this year!

This morning, 8th graders were presented with awards to recognize excellence in each subject area. While we congratulate all 8th graders on completion of three years at Hubble, we especially congratulate those who received special honors.

Join us at one of our upcoming public engagement sessions to discuss capital improvements at three of our four middle schools! Details below:
After completing much of the infrastructure work needed in our elementary and high school spaces, we now need to address the significant improvements needed at three of our four middle schools: Franklin, Monroe, and Edison.
These aging 1960s buildings need to be modernized to provide safer and more secure buildings with learning spaces that support the rigorous curriculum our community expects and deserves.
The exciting news is our district’s fiscal responsibility has given us a unique opportunity to modernize our middle schools while giving our taxpayers property tax relief in the bond and interest portion of the tax levy.
As a community, we worked together throughout 2023 to determine a plan and nearly 1,300 community members took part in this process. Join our upcoming public engagement sessions to hear about our updated plan and provide your feedback.
