Every Friday, Ms. Sheppard's 5th grade class has a raffle using tickets students earn for positive behavior. They also discuss their "scholar goal" and "social goal" for the next week. This Friday, students gave input into their social goal of becoming more effective partners and teammates when working together. Way to go, Knights! #socialemotionallearning #SEL #YourCommunitySchools

What a great message from a bulletin board at Washington Elementary! Students who attend school regularly typically demonstrate higher learning outcomes than those with poor attendance. Being present each day affords students all the important experiences that come with attending school, such as friendships, clubs, and activities. Students also learn responsibility and work ethic through consistent attendance. #YourCommunitySchools
