Welcome to the Wheaton Warrenville South High School Social Studies Department. All students at South will have the opportunity to dive into some required courses and a myriad of electives in the social sciences and humanities during their four years at WWS. As a department we want each student to graduate from South with a love for Social Studies, but we also want to prepare students for their futures. So, we also strive to instill a sense of lifelong inquiry within each student, while also developing informed citizens who can make educated decisions to promote our democratic system in our increasingly connected and diverse world.
