📣District 200 Phone Issues Update📣
At this time, we believe all phone issues have been resolved.
We want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we worked through connectivity issues with our phone service this morning.

📣District 200 Phone Issues📣
District 200 is currently experiencing some connectivity issues with our phone system that may impact receiving inbound calls. At this time, it is unclear which buildings this is affecting as the issue is intermittent.
Our phone service provider is actively working to fix this issue.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, and we hope to have an update for you very soon.

Joe Kish, Assistant Principal at Franklin Middle School, and Dr. Kristina Campione, a parent at Johnson Elementary School, and her team of volunteers, were recently honored at a Distinguished Service Celebration.
Each year the Illinois Chapter of National School Public Relations Association recognizes individuals and groups throughout the state who partner with the school communications office, serve as ambassadors for public education, and are champions of students and staff.
Mr. Kish was honored for his dedicated service as a school administrator who is a great example of someone who has fostered cooperative partnerships between the school, district and community. As a longtime District 200 employee and resident, he has gained the trust of parents and staff, and has become a regular point of contact for many community members. Mr. Kish also serves on the District's Safety Committee, organizes various charity events in the community, is involved in maintaining partnerships between the District, first responders and the Outreach Community Center, and much more.
Dr. Campione and her team of volunteers were honored for their dedicated work in spearheading a nonprofit community garden called WeFEED at Johnson Elementary School. As a nutritionist, Dr. Campione took it upon herself to find a way to provide more nutritious meals to low-income families free of charge. Since 2013, the community garden at Johnson has successfully distributed several hundred pounds of produce. In its short existence, the garden has expanded immensely, and has received many community partnerships and donations.
We want to thank Mr. Kish and Dr. Campione for their dedicated commitment to supporting our District, students, and community. Please join us in congratulating them on this well-deserved honor. #YourCommunitySchools

📣Final Internet Update📣
We are happy to share that the internet has been restored in all District 200 buildings as of approximately 7 p.m. tonight.
We want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we worked through the phone and internet outages today.

📣Internet Outage Update as of 4:30 p.m.📣
All District 200 buildings are still without internet as of 4:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29.
Late this afternoon, Comcast was able to identify that a fiber was physically cut, causing this internet outage, which has impacted many school districts across the state. Comcast is still trying to locate where the fiber was cut. In the meantime, Comcast is working to reroute connections to a new path to restore internet access. At this point, they have not given us an ETA on when we will have internet access.
We will keep you updated as we learn more information.

📣Phone/Internet Outage Update as of 11:40 a.m.📣
The phones are back up and running at all District 200 buildings. At this time, the internet is still out across the District due to a regional Comcast outage.
We will provide another update when the internet has been restored. We want to thank you for your patience and understanding.

📣IMPORTANT MESSAGE📣
All District 200 buildings are experiencing an internet outage. Additionally, about half of our buildings also don’t have phone service. These issues are due to a regional Comcast outage.
We are working diligently to try to resolve these issues as soon as possible. We will provide an update as soon as we have one.
