Excitement and school spirit will fill the air at Hawthorne Elementary as students participate in our annual Wheaton North Football Day on the Hawthorne Field on October 7 from 9:30AM-12:05PM. The beloved community tradition brings together the Hawthorne Hawks and high school athletes from Wheaton North for an energetic morning centered on athletic skill, mentorship, and teamwork.
Throughout the event, students will rotate through a series of fun, high-energy activity stations designed to give them a taste of high school athletics and show them what it takes to train like a Falcon. From agility footwork to throwing and catching drills, the young Hawks will tackle every challenge with enthusiasm alongside their high school mentors.
PE teacher, Mr. Quarto, will pre-teach the foundational skills during PE classes leading up to the big day, ensuring every student arrives on the field confident, prepared, and ready to participate.
Family and community support are welcome along the perimeter of Hawthorne Field to cheer the students on as they tackle drills and share high-fives with the Wheaton North players. Please, no dogs/pets at this event.
A special thank you goes out to Mr. Quarto for his dedication and hard work in organizing this memorable tradition, as well as to the Wheaton North athletes and coaches for investing their time in inspiring the next generation of student-athletes.
